Cpus are really fascinating for computers fans : it is central piece of every PC, and so, the most important.
However, this enthusiasm for cpus faslty disapear once they're a little old : last released cpus are admirated, but oldest are subjects of jeerings. Because, the symbol of power that cpus represents, grows old very bad.
And that's why, there are only a few people who collects cpus, unlike stamps, coins or even beer bottle caps...
Nevertheless, it is far from being without interest, because of large number of different models, because of their difference and because of their very fast evolution : the oldest cpus, Intel 4004 was released 50 years ago, and the first x86, the 8086 in 1978, but they have quite no common points with the latest Core i9 or Ryzen...
This site is trying, on the first hand, to enumerate all different existing models of x86 cpus (see Search menu), to make you discover their history, their characteriscs and their visual or electronical specificities (see History menu), and on the other hand to put online different collector's collection, with now 23675 different cpus.
It was a great oversight, but this series of CPUs,
which should have been released in 2001, in the
Celeron lineup, before being discontinued in 2000,
and which integrated a RDRAM controller as well as
a GPU similar to the one of the i820 chipset, was
never added to the site.
As a result, the "Celeron PPGA" & "Celeron FC-
PGA" subtypes have been grouped together under
the "Celeron Socket 370" subtype, so as to
consistently add the "Celeron Socket 370S"
subtype for Timna.

You'll have noticed, seeing the recent news on most of the IT sites, that something is happening this week. Indeed, The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2021 in Las Vegas opened
on Monday January 11th.
Some announcements were expected and have taken place, such as the one for the Core i5 and i7 Mobile Tiger-Lake H (Tiger Lake-U with frequencies, and TDP, revised upwards),
others were less expected, like the one concerning 4 new Tiger Lake-U belonging to the vPro range.
Others were hardly hoped for, like that of the Rocket-Lake-S, but Intel still mentioned these processors, especially the overpowered i9-11900K, whose ever more significant
leaks in recent months, suggests that Intel could take the crown of the best gaming processor from AMD. Their release is scheduled for the end of the first trimester. March,
in clear.
Intel has even more touched the rest, with Alder-Lake, a line of processors from a Hybrid architecture, like Lakefield, half-Golden Cove, half-Gracemont, scheduled for the end
of 2021, if all goes well.
Not at all expected were the announcements of new Pentium Silver and Celeron N-series processors, which Intel is advertising as intended for the education market, based on the
Jasper Lake core from the Tremont architecture (which succeeds Goldmont).
Finally, and it is disappointing, Intel announced that they had started shipping their Ice Lake-SP Xeons to their customers, but gave absolutely no information on models.
In summary, are formally announced: Intel Core i5-11300H, Core i7-11370H, Core i7-11375H, Core i5-1145G7, Core i7-1185G7, Core i5-1140G7, Core i7-1180G7, Pentium Silver N6005,
Pentium Silver N6000C , Celeron N4500, Celeron N4505, Celeron N5105, Celeron N5100 and the Core i9-11900K.
Some are already added to the database, others will be added shortly.

Ebay is one of the must today to find CPUs at
decent price, not only for collectors. But it
is sometimes a little complicated to find
youself in
this jungle, so, in addition to propose a
selection of EBay sales for every CPU pages
(whenever sales are available), we now propose
you CPUs
for sale listings.
Collectors will obviously look on the Vintage
section of this new menu, where it will be
possible to find some great deals, but modern
CPUs
section is worth a look too, we can always find
a good bargain, especially since listings are
sorted by ending soonest. And we all knows that
for auctions, great deals are mostly made at
the end...
In a second time, we will later propose a
advanced search, more powerful than the one of
EBay to look for CPUs and other chips, because
based on
our huge database, in order to find best offers
for what you're looking for.
Here it is :
- Vintage CPUs
- Modern CPUs

AMD officially announced today their Zen 3 core base Ryzens. But unlike what they did before, it will not be Ryzen 4000x, but Ryzen 5000s.
Maybe AMD estimated that the performance gap would necessitate a number gap as well. Or maybe they finally understood that having CPUs witihin the same number series but with different architecture might be confusing for the consumer (example of the Ryzen 3000G APUs on Zen+ core and the Ryzen 3000 on Zen 2). And as the Ryzen 4000G APUs were already released...
Anyway, 4 models were announced today, the 5600X with 6 cores, the 5800X with 8 cores, the 5900X with 12 cores and last but not least, the 5950X with 16 cores. This later has an impressive boost frequency for the core count of 4.9GHz ! With a 105W of TDP (TDP seems to be defined differently than Intel does).
These CPUs will be available to the market on 05/11/2020 at price ranging from $299 for the 5600X to $549 for the 3900X and "only" $749 for the 3950X !
They will be added in the CPU database meanwhile.
